I was on Facebook this morning and saw another delightful quotation from one of my favorite writers and speakers of his day, Samuel Clemens. Sam was better known as Mark Twain (  http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mark_Twain ) . His style of writing and speaking was the epitome of homespun cleverness: no minced words, demonstrating deft humor whilst being frank and engaging.

A a writer I appreciate tools and tips that come directly from the Masters of Literature, because their pithy comments invariably illuminate, inspire and enlighten as they entertain. The advice, like the works of  the Masters, lives on, timelessly wise. And I like all that. I’ll bet you do, too.

(I’m also a bit too fond of commas. Sorry….)

Here’s what Sam had to say:  “Substitute ‘damn’ every time you’re inclined to write ‘very;’ your editor will delete it and the writing will be just as it should be.”

Such a simple thing, but it makes such a difference. I’m sure there are a great many folks out there who will find this tidbit useful. I know I did. And if you’ve the chance, check out some of the lesser known works of Samuel Clemens here:

That’s damn good advice. I’m damn impressed, and feel damn glad that I was turned on to this damn useful piece of writing advice.

Yup, works great. Damn nice.

Molly Burke on Purpose: Leading insurrections against mediocrity.

Okay, so I promised to talk about how Life Purpose Discovery work fits in with and enhances the concept and practice of satisfaction management.

That lead  recently to consider a more elegant synthesis of Life Purpose work and satisfaction management that I call Purpose management. Purpose management involves timeline work, creating future strategies, increasing real being awareness, career path development, working smart, story change. And more. Much more.

There are three main areas in which Life Purpose Discovery work and Purpose management provide maximum ROI. For people like me, ROI means the most bang for your buck. Those three areas are personal, business and professional/practitioner use.

On a personal level, Purpose management provides the opportunity to experience relationship satisfaction, meaningful work, more joy, harmony, true change, professional excellence, and alternative options to every personal challenge.

From a business perspective, Purpose management is a direct gateway to improve productivity and job satisfaction, motivation and workplace change that benefits the bottom line. Through customized Life Purpose work coaching, your future business plans will expand to include more and better ways to make your business productive. Your empowerment team will act as a development catalyst to inspire others in your organization to higher levels of professional excellence and workplace satisfaction.

As a human development practitioner, Purpose management empowers the relationship between practitioner and client from the first meeting, provides a comprehensive overview of your client in very little time, and results in faster, lasting change that moves them in the right direction. You will be able to build strategic relationships with your clients based on who you both know them to be on a “real being” level. This enables you to be  an even more effective ally, coach and counselor in less time with increasingly better results.

Overall, the practice of personal, business or professional Purpose management leads to only good things. By adopting decision making that puts Life Purpose first and foremost, you can more directly access harmony, meaningful relationships, more joy and financial gold.  Your life, on purpose.

There’s nothing finer. Purpose management and Life Purpose Discovery work are powerful allies if what you want is to have what you want. Is that what you want?

Satisfaction management, our specialty. Satisfaction services? Yes indeedy. This is a theme I’ll be exploring this week in a number of successive blog posts. A juicy topic worthy of many words. But first…..

Welcome, one and all, to my new and improved blog site. Herein you will find tips, tools and fulfillment strategies, along with my observations about life, the Universe, and everything (with a nod to Douglas Adams). I’ll quote my friends and famous folks, turn you on to great resources, introduce you to quality people, and do everything I can to further worldwide fulfillment.

It’s a great pleasure to share a slice of myself and my work with you. So let’s get started…..

To begin, let’s examine the phrase “satisfaction management”. I believe it is important to know exactly what we’re discussing before I go into why it’s so important and how we go about achieving success with it. Let’s start with a couple of definitions:

SATISFACTION:

  1. The fulfillment of a desire or a need.
  2. The pleasure or contentment that is derived from such gratification.

MANAGEMENT:

The act or manner of managing; handling, direction, or control.

For the sake of this discussion, we’re going to use these definitions, and explore how Life Purpose awareness significantly increases your satisfaction management skills.

In order to even get in the ballpark of satisfaction management, it is crucial to know who you are and what you’re meant to do with your life. You’ve got to be aware of  what is is that you truly desire and need on a fundamental Soul level. Only then can you start to experience, measure and then improve your own satisfaction management.

Why is that? Because only by knowing, accepting, and expressing your unique Life Purpose can you know real satisfaction and fulfillment. And only when you have a lucid experience of fulfillment can you then learn to enhance, encourage, and ultimately master satisfaction management.
